Rising trends in the Development co-operation
Our reference models are changing. We used to think that inequalities were necessary for growth because they affected saving and investment, but that they were also inevitable in the beginning and would then be corrected by redistribution policies. Today, reality shows that too many inequalities can hamper growth and ambitions of poverty reduction, and that ‘fair’ access to resources and wealth is not addressed as a second stage, but concomitantly alongside the objectives of growth.
